"That our idea of God correspond as nearly as possible to the true being of God is of immense importance to us. Compared with our actual thoughts about Him, our creedal statements are of little consequence. Our real idea of God may lie buried under the rubbish of conventional religious notions and may require an intelligent and vigorous search before it is finally unearthed and exposed for what it is." --A.W. Tozer

great quote!
Sorry, I can't help but think that those who are not interested in theololgy are not interested in the word pelagianism.
I've been thinking about your Job question...I don't know what I think but I'm glad you brought it up because I've been reading it a lot lately.

Martha,
I had not read the quote the way that you took it, but must say that your reading of it led to an astute and quite humorous observation. If the quote is directed toward those who are not interested in theology, it really is quite a funny quote...The reason that I personally posted the quote was as a motivator to those who have teaching responsibilities in the body of Christ to encourage those--who don't care about "theology" (the study of God) but are zealous--to actually give their theology a second thought by showing the "teacher" how important theology really is.
